Welcome to Buffalo Trail Elementary!

At Buffalo Trail, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that each child has unique strengths and talents, and we strive to nurture those gifts while fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Our dedicated staff works collaboratively to provide high-quality instruction that challenges students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and achieve their personal best. Through a strong foundation in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, along with enriching experiences in physical education, music, art, STEM, and library learning, we prepare students to be successful learners and responsible citizens.

Buffalo Trail offers a variety of programs and supports to meet the diverse needs of our students, including Gifted and Talented programming, Special Education services, and targeted interventions. We are committed to providing inclusive, differentiated, and culturally responsive learning experiences that ensure every child feels valued, supported, and capable of success.

A cornerstone of our school culture is our Pillars of SPIRIT: Safety, Positivity, Integrity, Resiliency, Inclusivity, and Teamwork. These pillars guide our behavior expectations, decision-making, and interactions throughout the school day. Students are encouraged to demonstrate these values in their classrooms, on the playground, and within the community, while our staff members model them every day. By intentionally teaching and celebrating these character traits, we help students develop the skills and mindset needed to be successful learners, leaders, and community members.

We know that strong schools are built on strong relationships. Our partnership with families is essential to creating a positive, child-centered community where students feel connected, inspired, and confident. Together, we encourage our students to demonstrate respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance in all they do.
